Works represented fully or in part by reference material, correspondence, drafts, illustrations, typescripts, and proofs include Steamboat Gothic, Land of Stones and Saints, Station Wagon in Spain, Roses in December and Tongues of Fire. The collection also contains copies of some correspondence re the second volume of her autobiography, a letter, 1929 April 6, for the Kenmore Association soliciting funds for the home's restoration, an invitation, and Christmas cards. Of interest are letters, 1952, concerning efforts to engage a researcher in Virginia to assist her in gathering background information for a character in "Steamboat Gothic."

Frances Parkinson Wheeler Keyes (1885-1970), born in Virginia, was married to Henry Wilder Keyes (1863-1938); they had three children. Henry W.
